Lucretia McCarthy (Birth Insight – Danae’s educator and Mentor) will accompany Danae as an educator.

Masterclass One – ‘Joining Women in Labour’.

  • Establishing expectations with the family around when you join a labour
  • Communication prior to arrival with labouring mum, dad or partner
  • Assessing when to join women in labour at home, especially with longer stop and start labours
  • Accessing when to join women having an induction in hospital
  • Accessing whether or not you stay or leave and make a plan to return
  • Accessing when to leave for the hospital, if planning hospital birth
  • Communication on phone with hospital staff upon call in
  • Smooth transitions from home to hospital to an unknown or known midwife across different models of care
  • Gently initiating hand over to hospital midwife
  • What if the labour slows down or stalls on arrival to hospital
  • What if the couple decide to return home again
  • Case studies

Joining via Zoom and Recordings

If you are not local to Birth Time Village Sydney, on-call, at a Birth, have another job, have kids etc… You can either join Live via Zoom (link sent out the day before) OR be sent the Masterclass recording.

Refunds and Cancellations

Once your ticket has been purchased, there are no refunds or cancellations. If you are at a birth or are unable to attend on the day for any reason, you will receive access to a recording for 2 weeks.

Certificate of Attendance

You will receive a certificate of attendance via email after the course with your full name and the number of hours.
