This class is the perfect way to support your pregnancy and engage in weekly preparation for any type of calm birth.

Sunday morning live online classes are also recorded for women unavailable for the scheduled class or international time differences.

Prenatal Yoga Classes

Sunday morning 8.30am Virtual yoga class via Zoom

(North Shore yoga studio coming later in the year)  

I teach traditional, breath-centered pregancy / prenatal yoga. ‘Breath-centered’ means the breath leads, guides and dictates all movement. It is the focus of the practice and is pivotal to working with the mind.

Yoga is not just about Asana postures, the true nature of yoga is to bring clarity to the function of your mind and that can only be done with your breath.

My prenatal yoga classes include:

  • A 10 minute Birth Education Discussion
  • a physical practice
  • specialised meditation
  • hypnobirthing affirmations in practice
  • self regulation and nervous system for birth
  • pranayama (breathing techniques)
  • moving energy for birth
  • instinctive active birthing practice
Preparing for labour and birth

Preparing your mind for the experience of labouring and birth is generally not something that can be done in a weekend course. You need to experience it and practice it in order to train your brain to support you for a calm birth.

Women supported this way tend to fall into their breath and ‘relaxed state’ much more easily, as they have formed a pattern in their brain that is familiar.

​The physical nature of the practice has incredible benefits for your body. Yoga supports your muscles, ligaments and skeletal systems to not only benefit you week by week, but also help your baby to settle into an optimal position for comfort and birth.

​Yoga right up until the birth

I teach women right up until they birth. The practices are made to support the transformation women’s bodies experience. There is then a natural progression into post natal practice to support recovery and motherhood.

GROUP YOGA CLASSES​

Pregnancy group yoga classes live and online via Zoom every Sunday morning from 8:30am – 9:30am. You can enjoy from the comfort of your home. Recordings also available to purchase.
